I am very good at what I do. I also wanted to be home at night with my kids, to help with homework and other family things. |

| hat has been the biggest surprise, good or bad, since you started? |
I have found it very difficult to find help. Many people want a paycheck but don't want to work for it. :( |
| What is the toughest part of running your business? |
Same answer as above. |
| What is the best part of running your business? |
I have met so many amazing people because of my business. Also being able to generate extra income if I need it. |
| Is there anything that you would have done differently? |
I would have skipped the few big advertisements I did. They were not worth it at all. Instead I would have stuck to the small area specific papers. I did very well with those and they were so cheap. |
| What is the most important thing you will be adding, doing, changing in the next year for your business? |
I am reevaluating the way I hire and train people. Also be more active of social media. I'm not very good about posting regularly . |
| Where do you see your business in 2 years, 5 years, and 10 years? |
In 2 years, I'd like to be only doing the estimates and first cleanings. In 5 years, I'd like to only be doing office work. In 10 years, hopefully I will have started expanding into a rather large area that is about 2 hours away from me. That last part, I haven't done a whole lot of thinking about. So that plan/goal could change. |
| What advice could you give others and please don't hold back! |
Do not start a business unless you are going to give 110% all the time. |

| What are some of your prior jobs or businesses? |
I was a server for many years. I worked in the surgery department as an Operating Room Assistant (I mainly cleaned all the surgery rooms after every surgery). I managed a home for mentally and physically handicapped individuals. |
| Is there a specific person or event in your life that made you decide to go into business for yourself? |
Things were very tight when I had my daughter. I needed to get back to work. So I picked up serving again while trying to get my cleaning business going. It didn't take long before I was able to rely solely on my business. My work and personality spread by word of mouth like wild fire. My husband was very supportive. |
