When did you open your business? January 2010
What services do you offer? Commercial and residential cleaning. Organizing of home or office and light recycling services.
Why did you start the business? I started off needing extra money and then moved into helping stay-at-home moms find self-worth and a little spending money on the side.
How many people are in your company? 7
What has been the biggest surprise, good or bad, since you started? How fast word of mouth spreads, which has been great for me.
What is the toughest part of running your business? FInding good employees and employee management, since I'm younger then most of my employees. Honestly I thought I'd be great at training but realize I'm in need of help in that area.
What is the best part of running your business? I love the social part and the look on the client's face when they see our finished product.
Is there anything that you would have done differently? Purchasing the employee handbook before even thinking of hiring!
What is the most important thing you will be adding, doing, changing in the next year for your business? Hopefully adding our recycling program.
Where do you see your business in 2 years, 5 years, and 10 years? I see us setting up a single moms program, helping them find jobs and a skill why they pursue their dreams. Oh, and growing advanced and financially blessed.
What advice could you give others and please don't hold back! Ask for help and don't be afraid to financially invest in your own company! It will save you a headache down the road.
How do you use MyHouseCleaningBiz.com to help you with your business? Mostly advice and training!

What are some of your prior jobs or businesses? Preschool/daycare, hotel cleaning and food services.
Is there a specific person or event in your life that made you decide to go into business for yourself? After the loss of my daughter I needed to find some self worth. With encouragement from God and my hubby I began volunteering to clean single mom's homes. Then a friend asked if I'd work for her cleaning company, I did, and then I moved and started my own business.
