Why did you start the business? So that I could spend more time with my family

What has been the biggest surprise, good or bad, since you started? As much as you want to trust everyone, it is hard. I had a couple of workers, when I let them go a few months ago, call all my customers and within 24 hours lost most of my business. They took them with them even after I sent out emails telling everyone of the change and that I would be back hands on... 17 yrs, gone in a blink of an eye! BUT even with the blindside, I did not let it get me down... I am back up and running within less than two months.

What is the toughest part of running your business? Hiring and keeping good workers...they want a paycheck but not want to work.

What is the best part of running your business? Being able to take time of and spend with family and friends.

Is there anything that you would have done differently? Yes, I would have hired an lawyer first off in starting to get all the ins and outs and to be able to cover myself.

What is the most important thing you will be adding, doing, changing in the next year for your business? I plan on growing my business out to several other cities and a few states.

Where do you see your business in 2 years, 5 years, and 10 years? I see in the next year adding a new extension to the business and also making and selling all my own green products.

What advice could you give others and please don't hold back! Do not give up on your dreams, don't let the fear of failing keep you down, fall if you must, pick yourself up...brush yourself off and keep going. If you don't push through you will never know if you can...So with all that said... Keep on keeping on!

What are some of your prior jobs or businesses: Secretary, Bookkeeper, Owner of Little Tots Day Care

Is there a specific person or event in your life that made you decide to go into business for yourself? My children, daughter Kristina and son Matthew, when they were young, I didn't want to leave them in daycare all day and only see them for a few hours a day. So this was a great business to start...gave me a great income and time tobe able to spend with my children after my divorce.
