Looking for Top Quality Clients? Project a Professional Image in Your Home Cleaning Business

Everyone who has a home cleaning business would love to find top quality clients. What do I mean by top quality? People who value what you do for them and who are willing to pay what you're worth. These clients want to work with a professional business that backs up their claims with trustworthy, reliable service.

If you're just getting started with your home cleaning business you may need to take on clients you might not otherwise choose, just to get some cash flow going. Do this, realizing that you will gain valuable experience working for these clients. But always keep in mind your ultimate goal of working with top quality clients who truly appreciate you.

Do not project the image that you are desperate for work, or that you are cleaning houses because you need to pay the bills. And if the customer says, "I paid my last cleaner $12 an hour so that's all I'm willing to pay", don't accept their offer, letting them think you're grateful for whatever they are willing to pay you! This puts them in control and you in a subservient position, rather than as a professional business person offering a service.

In order to project a professional image that attracts top quality clients, be sure to invest in your business. This means having a professional logo created for you, and then using that logo on professionally created marketing materials. This is the start of the branding process. Use your logo on professional forms that you'll give to your customers. Using home-made looking forms and materials will set off alarm bells in the heads of top quality clients. They'll think that if you can't afford to project a professional business image, then maybe you can't afford to do background checks on your employees, or maybe you don't have the proper insurance

When you visit their home, greet them with a smile. Make sure your clothing is neat and clean, that your vehicle is clean, and that you're not fumbling around with papers, pens and other things. One thing you can do as you walk through the home with the client is to use a mobile app for gathering necessary information about the client and home. Prospects will be impressed that you're able to use your tablet or smart phone to gather the information on the spot, give them a price quote, and email it to them all before you even leave the home! When you gather information in this way, they'll realize that you have a specific formula for pricing their home, and that you're not just pulling a number out of the sky.

Don't just "wish" for top quality clients. Take action to attract them by investing in your company and projecting a professional image and brand. Before you know it, you'll be working with great clients who love your work, and your profits will soar!
