You may have noticed that our tagline is, "Turning your vision into a successful cleaning business". Well I'd like to talk about that, because I see so many people with big dreams of owning a successful cleaning business, but they never seem to be able to make it happen. They struggle and struggle, and finally give up. Or they get so far but can't seem to get over that hump to get to the next level.
Why do you think that is? For some people, the dream LOOKS good, but they're not willing to do what it TAKES to make things HAPPEN. Owning a business is not easy. It takes hard work and long hours, so if you're not WILLING, it's not going to happen. Other people are willing to work hard, but they really don't have a clear vision of what they want their business to look like. They're just moving along from day to day, never looking ahead.
In order to have a successful cleaning business you need to have a clear vision of just what that means for YOU - it's not the same for everyone. But there ARE things that you can do to make sure your vision comes true:
First you need to define your vision. Think about the type of clients you want to have, how many employees you want to have, how much money you want to make, and what you want your role to be in the company. Don't hold back in this part of your vision! Think about it without putting up obstacles because you don't think it can happen.
Next you need to start the momentum. Remember, this is a journey, and every journey starts with one small step. The third thing you need to do is make a plan. You've taken that first step, now lay out a roadmap to continue on your path. You'll probably need to make adjustments to your plan eventually, but that's ok - everyone hits speed bumps. That doesn't mean you have the wrong vision, it just means you might need to change direction.
Next, you need to monitor your progress. If some things are working and others aren't, then learn from this. Don't keep doing the things that don't work. Instead, put more energy into the things that DO work, and focus on that. And finally, stay focused on your vision. Don't let that little voice in your head tell you, you aren't worthy. Stay focused on the positive things that are happening, and that will move you closer to your vision.
Remember, what you focus on expands, so if you're constantly berating yourself for failing, guess what! You'll continue to fail! But if you stay positive, and surround yourself with people who believe in your vision, the more likely it is that you'll succeed!
